Driver Profile >>> Nieko Gunther
We met up with Nieko in Garden Grove this Wednesday to do a feature. We pulled up to his house and the first thing we see is Nieko’s license plate ziptied to his literal bumper, no bumper cover. I’ve always loved how Nieko’s car sits, the fitment is great, and every dent and scratch holds a story. So we decide to head off to grab a quick bite, and I get to marvel at all the other drivers staring at Nieko’s car in disbelief, shock, or just completely enthralled with it. The only scary bit was actually getting into the driveway to get lunch. We didn’t take into consideration that Nieko has to go in 47 different directions to get his S13 into a shallow driveway, so while he’s making his 47 moves, we’re sitting in the middle of the road with oncoming traffic rushing towards us.

Tell us a bit about your car.
Well, I bought my car a little over 2 years ago, bone stock… 1600 SUPER clean white coupe. Then slowly but surely it got a little banged up. It’s your basic s13 with gram lights, Powered by Max and SPL suspension arms, Stance coils. Just finish rebuilding my SR, and wow does it feel fantastic, haha.
I bet, gotta feel loads better than that single cam. How long have you been drifting?
Started drifting in June 2008, so almost 2 years now.
Do you like the way Old Spice makes you feel?
I love the way Old Spice makes me feel.
Naturally, you’re a man who likes to smell like a man. Coke or Pepsi?
Definitely Pepsi… but I do have my coke days.
And I have my Pepsi days. If you could build any drift car, and OMGDrift paid for it, what would it be?
Damn… this is tough, way too many cars to choose from. I don’t know why, but I’m down for a jzx100.

A lot of shoutouts. Definitely 626 drift crew, its where I started drifting, and it’s where I have been going ever since, I am also an instructor there now. Everyone should come drift with us haha. Also, Danny Giraldo and Daniel Nguyen its going to be big time real soon, I don’t think everyone is ready. Crazy Rob for suuuuure, has helped me a lot along the way, car setup, any random question I have, Mike at Jimmy Up and Illminded Streetwear!
